Prior to entering the teaching profession, I operated and managed three battered family shelters in Tucson, South Tucson, and Nogales, Arizona for ten years. While I loved working with battered women and their children, I now have the perfect job working with alternative learners and their families. I feel all children can and do learn and it is my privilege to walk with them.
